Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down.....

Just kiddin'. I love this kind of weather, especially when I don't have to leave the office.

Anyway, I'm going to keep this short, as I am still at work. This Mission: Possible Challenge, has stumped even me.....so I am going to need a little more time to come up with my plan and create my "masterpiece."

I thought I had it all completed until I looked down and realized that my photo was not a square!!!!! Arrrgggg!!!!!!!

Oh well...back to the scrapbook table.

Have a great day.

Mission: Possible Scrapbook Challenge #3

Congratulations to all the ladies that participated in the 2nd Mission: Possible Challenge.  Aren't the results AMAZING????

I figured that since I was posting pictures of some pretty great creations, I would take the time to post the next Mission: Possible Challenge.  So with out further ado, I give you this.....

*  All photos must be squares - this means that you are going to have to  CROP!!!!!

*  You may ONLY use a monochromatic color scheme - that means, all paper used must be in the same color family (ex. shades of pink, or blue,or green, etc.)  Please note....NO OTHER COLORS WILL BE ALLOWED!!!!  If you use a pattern paper make sure it is tone on tone, or a stamped image using VersaMark.

*  You have to use a rub-on ON at least one of your photos. - this could be a border around your photo, an image, word, etc.

There I think this ought to keep us busy for awhile!!!!  This Challenge will be difficult to turn into a card project, as there are specifics that need to be done to photos in this Challenge.  My suggestions is that all you card makers, take an extra step out of your creative boxes and have a try at a scrapbook page. Check back tomorrow evening when I post my interpretation of the Mission: Possible Challenge.

As always, if you are going to participate, please post in the comment section.  You can sign in anonymously if you do not want to start a google account.  SIDE NOTE:  Please sign your names to the posts, as I do not recognize every one's email address.  That way I know who I am buying gifts for.  : )

I can't wait to see what y'all come up with!!!!!

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday to everyone!!!!!  What a day today has been.  I'm not used to having a day off, so it was a nice treat to be able to scrapbook in the day light and really enjoy sunshine.  Luiza took about a 2 hour bath, while I was having a great time creating some layouts.  I've posted the 3 that I did this morning.

Tonight we will be going up to the church for our Good Friday service, followed by some intense Kickboxing, compliments of Jillian Michaels (Biggest Looser trainer)  I'm excited to start back on my regular work out routine.  I need to shed those few pounds that I gained over the winter, while still keeping on track towards my ultimate weight loss goal.  I just keep telling myself...it's not about being perfect, it's about being better.

Well I think I will sign off for now.....enjoy your Friday, and I will check in on y'all tomorrow.

**EDIT**  Above is my interpretation of the Challenge.

Happy, sloppy, slushy Monday to all you Michiganers!!!!! What a great way to wake up! NOT!

Going forward, I will make sure that I give you the 2 weeks in between our Friday night get togethers, to complete the challenges. That way there is NO excuse why everyone is not participating.......

So without further ado, I give you Mission Possible: Scrapbook Challenge #2.

  • Brown cardstock
  • At least 3 brads - these may be any size, color or shape
  • journaling must be in strips

tuesday tidbits

what a great day....lots accomplished at work & at home.  i even had time for a two mile run!!!!!  man did that ever feel good.

i've received quite a few questions in regards to the scrapbooking challenge that i posted last night.  i'm excited to hear that it has many of you thinking outside your creative boxes.  my goal was not to make you stress out (not that any of you are) but rather encourage you to look at your supplies and process a little differently.  when i first took this challenge i thought, "there is NO WAY that i am going to be able to use stickers...let alone 8", but i did, and now i have started using stickers a lot more in the layouts that i am doing....which is good because i still love COLLECTING those stickers that i was too afraid to use.

well i hope that this has helped those of you that are undecided as to whether or not you want to accept the challenge.....go for it!!

1. you must use at least 8 different kinds of pattern paper
2. 8 stickers of some kind (not counting sticker letters)
3. at least 1 stamped image

now i know many of you are probably reading these requirements and thinking "there is NO WAY that i am going to be able to create a card or layout with all that stuff, but trust me....you can!  i did.

if you are interested in participating in this challenge (and really who wouldn't be) please leave a message in the small "comment" section below letting me know (i want to make sure that i have enough goodies for everyone).  all you have to do is either bring the finished project OR complete it by 10 pm, friday night at scrapbooking, and i will have a small gift for those of you that participate.
